We are pleased to announce the launch of four fully funded PhD scholarships in Chemistry, aimed at strengthening advanced research training and collaboration in Africa.
Two scholarships are hosted at University of Botswana (UB) and focus on Physical or Computational Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, providing students with opportunities to work on cutting-edge computational and experimental research addressing key scientific and societal challenges through drug discovery.
The remaining two scholarships are hosted at the University of the Free State (UFS) and specialize in Organic Chemistry, with an emphasis on modern synthesis, and phytochemical investigation.
This initiative reflects a strong commitment to:
- Building high-level human capacity in chemical sciences
- Promoting regional academic collaboration
- Supporting innovative research in Physical, Computational, and Organic Chemistry
- Empowering the next generation of African scientists through doctoral training
The new PhD scholars will benefit from access to experienced supervisors, modern research facilities, and an active international research environment.
📢 Applications are now open (https://apply.ramdda.org), and highly motivated candidates with strong academic backgrounds in Chemistry or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Together, these scholarships mark an important step toward advancing scientific excellence and research-driven development in Africa through our Project RAMDDA.
